Welcome to YWAM Tacloban
We are Youth With A Mission in Tacloban City, Leyte — a YWAM Philippines location on San Pedro Bay, at the meeting place of Leyte and Samar. Our heart is simple: to know God and to make Him known, here in the gateway city of Eastern Visayas and among the Waray people of this region.
- We live and work in Tacloban, capital of Leyte and a city of harbour, campus and marketplace. Minutes from the universities of the region, this is home, trading hub and mission field all at once — a place that has known both great history and great storm.
- This location was birthed out of the calamity that struck Tacloban in 2013, when Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) tore through the city. YWAM teams came in the days after the storm. From that mercy work a permanent base was pioneered, and since then YWAM Tacloban has trained and sent young people into missions and into the spheres of society across the region and beyond.
